HEALTH AND SAFETY

Health and Safety Commitment Statement:

Wellesley Studios is committed to achieving a safe and healthy environment for all workers, hirers, students, and visitors.

Covid-19:

While we operate under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, we are implementing additional measures to comply with government guidelines.

Please read our Covid-19 Protection Framework – Red setting guidelines below.

Removal of Vaccine Pass Mandate:

We are nearing normality and can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

With the Government’s announcement that they will be dropping the vaccine pass mandate on April 4th at 11:59 PM, as of April 5th, we will be pleased to welcome back some more friendly faces that we haven’t seen in a while.

Although you will no longer require a vaccine pass to attend classes at Wellesley Studios we do ask that you stay vigilant with the below points so we can keep everyone safe.

  • Please remain wearing masks in all common areas, including the changing rooms. This is not required when in studios.
  • Anyone feeling unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms, please stay at home and do not attend class.
  • Cough and sneeze etiquette must be followed, tissues disposed of in provided bins straight away and sanitiser used or hands washed.
  • You may choose to still scan in using the QR code, however, this is not mandatory.
  • Please continue to follow hand sanitising protocols, this protects you as well!
  • There will be no shower usage under ‘Red light’.
  • Studio cleaning protocols after each class remain in place and common areas continue to be frequently wiped down.

Thanks, everyone. Stay healthy and mindful of others - from the team at Wellesley Studios

Wellesley Studios at Orange Light:

Wellesley Studios classes will go ahead at the Orange Light setting in NZ’s traffic light Covid-19 Protection Framework.

Please familiarise yourself with these guidelines if you plan on attending a class at RED.

  • At ‘Orange Light’ class numbers are no longer limited for social distancing only by the size of the studios.
  • Mask use is not mandatory but encouraged in common areas including bathrooms and changing rooms.
  • Wellesley Studios follows government guidelines regarding the use of vaccine passes and QR Code scanning.
  • Hand sanitiser dispensers are located throughout the building and all class participants must follow hand sanitising protocols.
  • To reduce contact in all common areas, participants will be asked to come ready for class and use of the changing rooms will be restricted as much as possible to only the toilet facilities.
  • There will be no shower usage under ‘Orange Light’.
  • Cough and sneeze etiquette must be followed, tissues disposed of in provided bins straight away and sanitiser used, or hands washed.
  • Anyone feeling unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms, please stay at home and do not attend class.
  • The studio will be frequently wiped down and thoroughly cleaned after each class for increased health and safety measures.

Our thoughts are with all the artists who have had work cancelled or affected in any way by the move back to Orange.

We are grateful to be able to continue with classes at this time and hope to see you there if you feel safe attending.

Wellesley Studios will continue to review protocols in line with Government guidelines as the Omicron outbreak evolves.

Stay safe and support each other where you can.
